I create public experiences where people can discover art, share their talents, meet interesting people, and build relationships that extend beyond a single event.My background spans visual art, live event production, audiovisual technology, and cultural programming. I've produced more than 20 creative programs and worked with institutions and organizations including the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, NYC Parks, and NYC DOT.WHAT I HOSTI organize and produce The Art Meetup NYC, a public, donation-based creative community bringing people together through hands-on art workshops, open mics, live performances, creative socials, and cultural gatherings across New York City.WHO MY EVENTS ARE FORMy events are for emerging and established artists, musicians, writers, performers, photographers, filmmakers, designers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creative professionals looking to share their work, find collaborators, exchange ideas, and build genuine relationships.They're also for art lovers, curious beginners, newcomers to NYC, and people who simply enjoy being around creativity, culture, and good company.I especially want Black, Latino, Brown, and LGBTQ+ creatives to see themselves represented in the spaces I produce. People of every background, identity, and experience level are welcome.You don't need to be an artist, have a portfolio, know anyone, or be particularly outgoing. You can make something, perform, listen, learn, start a conversation, or simply enjoy being there.No cliques. No gatekeeping. No pressure to impress.MORE THAN EVENTSI also publish The Creative Plug, a career newsletter read by more than 8,000 people, sharing researched job openings, freelance opportunities, paid creative work, and practical career resources.The Art Meetup helps people find each other.
