Smoked brisket? Pulled pork? Burnt ends? Smoked wings? Ribs? Can't decide what's your favorite? The Banditos BBQ Challenge is your place to be October 14th where 10 teams from Mexico and the U.S. will smoke their way into your hearts while vying for the Champions Belt and bragging rights for the best bbq.

It's a family friendly event taking place throughout the Banditos property with plenty of shade and ice cold beverages. Live music featuring Roger Clyne, Combo Deluxe and The Purple Onions will supply the energy while attendees sample their way through each team tent casting votes. Each paid admission includes your first 3 (small) sample plates; additional plates will be available for purchase at a nominal fee. Armed with a first, second and third place vote, each attendee will make their selections with the winner crowned just before 6:00. Once the BBQ Challenge finishes at 6:00, the party continues and Banditos will be open to the public.

Heaven on paper plates begins at 1pm and runs until 6pm. Come for the entire event or whatever time in between floats your boat. Proceeds from the event will benefit Educarte in Puerto Penasco which enriches the lives and families of kids with special needs. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. People 15 years or younger are admitted free with paid adult (3 sample plates not included with free ticket). Tickets are limited, grab yours in advance.
