Estreno INFINITO l'universo di Luigi Ghirri

Travesía Cuatro y el Istituto Italiano di Cultura tienen el placer de invitarte al estreno en México de INFINITO l’universo di Luigi Ghirri, dirigida por Matteo Parisini, el viernes 10 de febrero a las 19:00 hrs en el Cine Tonalá, en el marco de la Semana del Arte de la Ciudad de Mexico, 2023.

Luigi Ghirri, fotógrafo italiano reconocido internacionalmente, escribió regularmente a lo largo de su vida. Su fotografía se ve reflejada en sus escritos, que son al mismo tiempo una afirmación poética, un alegato existencial y un diario que cuestiona la actualidad. A partir de sus textos, el documental recorrere las etapas cruciales de la vida del fotógrafo. Es un viaje a los lugares de la provincia, un estudio de tierras, aguas, colinas, horizontes infinitos. Es una investigación sobre su obra fotográfica, concebida no en términos de una sola imagen, sino como un alfabeto en el que cada imagen sólo existe gracias a las demás. Los compañeros de viaje son los artistas Franco Guerzoni y Davide Benati, el historiador del arte Arturo Carlo Quintavalle, el impresor Arrigo Ghi, el fotógrafo Gianni Leone, el músico Massimo Zamboni y, por último, la familia, que representaba para Ghirri el sentimiento de pertenencia a una comunidad ordinaria pero unida. Stefano Accorsi pondrá voz a los textos de Ghirri.

Luigi Ghirri, an internationally renowned Italian photographer, wrote regularly throughout his life. His photography is reflected in his writing, which is at the same time a poetic affirmation, an existential argument, a diary that questions the present times. Starting from his writings, the documentary will retrace the crucial stages of the photographer's life. It will be a journey to the places of the province, a study of lands, water, hills, infinite horizons. It will be a research on his photographic work, conceived not in terms of a single image, but as an alphabet in which each image exists only thanks to the others. The companions of this journey will be the artists Franco Guerzoni and Davide Benati, the art historian Arturo Carlo Quintavalle, the printer Arrigo Ghi, the photographer Gianni Leone, the musician Massimo Zamboni and finally the family, which represented for Ghirri the feeling of belonging to an ordinary but united community. Stefano Accorsi will give voice to Ghirri's texts.
