Slay the Lake was co-founded by Jessie Rose and RE Bunch on January 20, 2025, because of their belief that all stories are worthy and all authors deserve to find their audience. These events celebrate women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled authors and creatives, and our allies through hosting accessible events and forming connections with readers and community supporters.
