BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions is Houston’s municipal animal shelter, dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership and finding loving homes for thousands of pets each year. Our mission is to protect public health and safety while providing compassionate care for animals through adoption, foster, rescue partnerships, and community education.
