City of LA Emergency Management Department

The City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department leads the city's disaster preparedness and response efforts by coordinating interdepartmental activities, developing citywide emergency plans, training city personnel and community members, and supporting residents in disaster readiness through preparedness programs. Its core mission is to ensure the city and its partners can effectively respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of natural, manmade, or technological disasters to protect the people and property of Los Angeles.
