Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda IAP (Mexico) & World Land Trust (UK)

Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded partner organizations around the world to create reserves and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife. To date, WLT has helped secure more than 774,282 acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries. 

Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda IAP together with 4 grassroots organizations drive community based solutions that specialize in environmental education, solid waste management, wildlands conservation, sustainable rural tourism, women and youth leadership, enforcement and interinstitutional  microenterprise development and payment for environmental services that have won numerous international awards including National Geographic Buffet Award and Nat Geo World Legacy Award; CPF Wangari Maathai Award; Ashoka and Schwab Foundation.
