OuterEssence
During a season of emptiness when I searched for joy, connection, validation, and purpose in all the wrong places. No matter what I pursued, the void within remained. With each passing day, I felt more lost and disconnected from myself.
In college, while studying psychology and working as a CNA, I was introduced to yoga. It felt like light in the darkness, offering stillness and presence I hadn't known before. I began diving deeply into yoga, Ayurveda, breathwork, and wholistic wellness. In 2019, I launched my business, Outer Essence. These practices were healing, yet over time, I sensed something was still missing, as if my heart knew there was more. I realized I had been thanking the creation, but not the Creator. I had built a practice of reverence without true relationship
Even when the opportunity of a lifetime came, pursuing what I had been building for six years, I discovered my heart wasn't fully in it. I moved to Delaware and lived the dream I had been chasing for years, only to step away a few months later. During this season, I began a Bible study group. Working one-on-one with individuals, I noticed a lack of true love, joy, and peace until they encountered God. That encounter changed everything for me too. I felt almost like a child experiencing the world for the first time.
I surrendered my path to God and began to rebuild, not just my practice, but my heart.
My approach to wellness is no longer just spiritual; it is Christ-centered. It is not about self as the source, but God as the source of all wholeness, peace, and purpose.
