Scratch That Jazz Orchestra

Scratch That Jazz Orchestra is an18-piece big band based in South West UK. Consisting of jazz musicians from across the country, many of us began our journeys playing big band repertoire in the University of Plymouth Big Band. Now players are scattered throughout the UK, but come together to make swinging music at high-energy gigs throughout the year.

We play a variety of music for big bands, including classic swing repertoire from Glen Miller, Duke Ellington and Count Basie, as well as more modern jazz band repertoire, Latin jazz, and funk.
