Shoshin Taiko Dojo

Shoshin Taiko Dojo CIC is a social enterprise based in Scotland, dedicated to using the art of taiko drumming to promote positive physical and mental health, social integration and better outcomes for rural and disadvantaged communities in Scotland.

Taiko is a unique style of drumming originally from Japan, which focuses not only on rhythmic patterns, but also on the visual aspect of the artform, combining music and movement in a dynamic fashion.

Shoshin Taiko Dojo CIC was founded by Joao Madeira, a professional player for over 15 years, who is also the main instructor at the dojo.
