Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode

Founded in 2006, WBDM is a public agency set up with the aim of supporting designers and companies in the fashion and design industry to export their know-how abroad, thereby showcasing Belgian know-how.

WBDM organises events and programmes in collaboration with Belgian partners in the fashion and design sector. The aim is to increase the visibility of Belgian designers, companies and brands on the international scene.

We depend on and interact with other structures:

• the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency (AWEX), which supports exporting companies in Wallonia;
• the Cultural Service of Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI), which encourages the international distribution of cultural enterprises and artists from Wallonia and Brussels;
• the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (Directorate for contemporary visual arts), which promotes visual artists and designers.

WBDM is part of a wider policy of support and promotion of the Cultural and Creative Industries in French-speaking Belgium. We represent one of the 5 specialised agencies that play an essential role in the dissemination and marketing of cultural and creative operators on the international scene:
