ReBorder 2025: "Sustainable Communities"

RE:BORDER 2025 is the seventh edition of a binational conference that brings together students, academics, professionals, and community leaders from Mexico and the United States to collaborate on sustainable solutions to challenges affecting the border region.

The conference will be held on October 29, 2025, at the Mexicali Campus of Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), specifically at the Rectoría Building.

The event is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, researchers, community organizations, public officials, and professionals from both countries interested in border-related topics.

RE:BORDER 2025 includes panel discussions, interactive sessions, poster presentations, and Shark Tank-style innovation challenges designed to foster creative and impactful dialogue.

The conference is bilingual (Spanish and English.

Students may attend for free with prior registration. All other participants, including panelists and general attendees, are required to pay a registration fee of $25 USD or $500 MXN. This fee includes access to all conference activities and catering services provided during the event.

RE:BORDER is a joint initiative between universities and partner institutions from both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border, last year was coordinated by SDSU, this year is coordinated by UABC Mexicali Campus in collaboration with U.S. and Mexican institutions.
