Travel Health Educate

Travel Health Educate was set up by Patricia Brady RGN, Dip in Tropical Nursing (RCSI) and she has over 30 years experience of delivering travel healthcare.

Her aim is to provide doctors & nurses who are new to or currently delivering travel healthcare in a General Practice, Student Health Service or Occupational Health setting and requiring a refresh or wishing to expand their knowledge of travel medicine.

The course is specifically designed for the Irish healthcare setting and participants should be registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI),

The "Fundamentals of Travel Health in the General Practice Setting" course is recognised by ICGP for 9 CPD External Credits and NMBI has awarded Category One Approval for 10 Continuing Educational Units (CEU).

The course was successfully run for the last year by Travel Health Educate and previous two years through HealthCare Minds.

Travel Health Educate has also set up a private Facebook group page to share: up to date news on travel vaccines, disease outbreaks & educational content to the group members all in one place.

The aim of the group page is to:

• Improve the practice and quality of care to travellers through

• Increasing the professional’s knowledge of travel related risks,

• Increasing their awareness of further education and

• Sharing of travel health research relevant to the field of Travel Medicine.
